In Aquaclay® Ground not only do water plants flourish remarkably well, but also fish. Within a short time billions of beneficial bacteria will have settled in the Ground and will support the filter. Due to their uninterrupted work the presence of duff is substantially lower in the ground.

Before using Aquaclay® Ground the material should be washed out well under warm, running water and be soaked in water for at least 4 days.

Used in an aquarium Aquaclay® F 4-10 is the ideal filling material for filter constructions. The 4-10 mm balls allow optimum filter utilization and, a good rate of water flow. On the outer surface, within the big pores as well as in-between the balls bacteria can stabilize and increase.

Within the inner pores anaerobic strains of bacteria are able to stabilize and colonize in order to make nitrogen out of nitrate.

In big ponds and aquariums the increased metabolism due to high fish populations often leads to increased water pollution.

For this reason Aquaclay® F 13-20 was developed. Aquaclay® F 13-20 should ideally be put in the provided filter medium bags.
